# topoloop

> topoloop is a places search API built for AI agents: semantic + lexical search over
> ~49M OpenStreetMap places, tuned on real agent traces. Agents resolve approximate,
> contextual place references ("the old lantern street", "mount roy viewpoint", "清水寺")
> to real places with stable IDs. Pay-per-call, no session billing, ODbL-licensed — you
> may cache, store, and train on results with OpenStreetMap attribution.

Base URL: https://api.topoloop.com — auth via the `X-API-Key` header (keys from
https://dash.topoloop.com/signup, free tier 10,000 requests/month at 2 requests/second).
Endpoints: POST /places/search (semantic search near a coordinate), POST /places/nearest
(most relevant places around a point, fame-blended), POST /places/details (rich fields —
website, hours, phone, wikipedia — for up to 50 places by ID), POST /web/search (travel-blog
evidence: passages + source URLs) and POST /web/page (full article text by URL) — all
behind the same key, rate limit and quota.
